Trischia’s Bio.

Junior High ELA and Science Teacher

This will be Trischia Burdt’s first year teaching at Mt. Zion Christian School and her 12th year of teaching. Trischia is a licensed secondary special education and social studies teacher. Trischia majored in broad field social studies and geography at UW-Plattteville. She later earned her teaching certification in Special Education for students with emotional and behavioral disabilities. Working as a special education teacher for over a decade has enabled Trischia to serve high need students with compassion and enthusiasm. Trischia and her husband, Matt, have two children, Wyatt and Cora, who both attend Mt. Zion School. The Burdt family returned to the Burlington area two years ago after their teaching careers had led them across the state.

Trischia is a passionate educator with extensive experience teaching English and reading, as well as social studies. She has taught in alternative, residential, and public school settings, mostly at the high school level. Trischia was led to join the staff at Mt. Zion Christian School in order to serve the students with her zeal for education. Additionally, Trischia desires to share her faith in Jesus Christ and cultivate and encourage the Christian faith and walk of her students.
