Part-Time Elementary Physical Education Teacher

Mt. Zion Christian School is seeking a passionate and devoted part-time elementary physical education teacher for grades 1st to 5th. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development, a heart for Christian education, and a desire to connect with, care for, and teach young students. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in exercise and sports fitness, along with the ability to integrate faith with education in the classroom.

Part-Time/Hourly Athletic Director

Mt. Zion Christian School is seeking a passionate and devoted part-time/hourly athletic director for our junior high volleyball, soccer, and basketball teams. The candidate will work closely with MZCS coaches and office staff to provide a Christ-centered sports experience that fosters growth physically, mentally and in faith.

Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate love for God

    • Demonstrate spiritual maturity, a teachable spirit and reverence towards God

    • Express knowledge of the Bible and its application

    • Model an exemplary Christian walk in speech and actions

    • Submit to authority out of obedience to Christ

  • Demonstrate love for students

    • Treat each child as uniquely gifted by God

    • Discipline all students fairly and firmly with an attitude of love

    • Evaluate students’ progress with fairly applied criterion

  • Demonstrate professional competence

    • Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning

    • Develop and implement lesson plans to cover the approved curriculum

    • Challenge each student to grow to his or her maximum potential


All Mt. Zion Christian School Teachers:

  • Must be a born-again Christian who knows the Lord Jesus as his/her personal Savior

  • Must agree with the Tenets of Faith of MZCS, and the Mission Statement and Philosophy of MZCS

  • Must manifest by precept and example the highest Christian virtue and personal decorum, living to a high standard of Christian conduct

  • Must hold a BA or BS from an accredited college or university. (Exemptions may be made for part-time or substitute teachers only by board and principal approval)

  • Must hold a current certification in Wisconsin in the subject area or grade level for which the teacher is hired. (Exemptions made only by the board and principal approval)

  • Must be an active member of a Bible believing church whose fundamental beliefs are in agreement with the tenets of Faith of Mt. Zion Christian Church
